About this release
Jazzbois return to their beat-tape approach on Still Blunted, shaping improvised sessions into more considered song arrangements. Bencze Molnár’s Rhodes and synthesizers, Viktor Sági’s bass and Tamás Czirják’s drums form the core, with Dom Beats adding saxophone to several tracks. Recorded around their Buda studio, the music draws on jams and performances developed over a year. Shangri La brings busy, shuffling drums, while Chrome pushes the bass, saxophone and synthesizer interplay into a more intense register. Flute Thang turns towards a warmer jazz-funk feel, connecting the trio’s live improvisation with the detail and repetition of hip-hop production.
