About this release
Jerk Boy joins forces with the Coney Island Rhythm Band on ‘Dancing Down The Path’, the A-side of this Sosilly release. Its disco-house approach sets up ‘E.R.M.B’, which fills the reverse in original and dub versions. A rounded bassline and clipped piano figures carry the latter, with strings, a vocal hook and touches of breakbeat adding movement around the groove. The combination balances a celebratory feel with more melancholy piano colour, connecting disco instrumentation to the energy of house and rave records. The two versions of ‘E.R.M.B’ sit alongside the collaboration as a compact selection for club play.
