About this release
JJ Whitefield explores raw funk, psychedelia, breakbeats and krautrock on Puzzled, a thirteen-track album for Broc Recordz. The Munich musician brings experience from Poets Of Rhythm, Karl Hector and The Whitefield Brothers to a varied instrumental set.
‘Dawn Of Delphi’, ‘Flute Punch’ and ‘Hyperion’ lead the first side, with ‘Mukōgawa’, ‘Holy Daze’ and ‘Amok Koma’ among the pieces on the reverse. The album traces different facets of Whitefield’s approach to rhythm and texture, presented as a single vinyl LP.
