About this release
Joachim Spieth presents ‘Stratum’ on Affin, pairing the original with a rework by Ghost Dubs. The single introduces the sound of Spieth’s forthcoming Strata album through slow-moving dub textures, restrained rhythm and suspended strings.
Ghost Dubs keeps the pace spacious while sharpening the sound into a more charged, grainy interpretation. Across two sides, the release explores the space between ambient atmosphere, sub-bass and dub processing.
