About this release
Jocelyn Brown's Somebody Else's Guy returns on Prelude in an orange vinyl edition built around four versions of the song. The A-side pairs the M&M Remix with an acappella, placing Brown's voice alongside an alternative way to hear the arrangement. The reverse contains the M&M Dub Mix and Ben Liebrand Remix. Originally released in 1984, the song sits at the meeting point of disco, boogie and soul, with Brown's vocal providing its defining presence. This edition brings the remix, vocal-only and dub treatments together, with the final mix offering a separate interpretation from Liebrand.
