About this release
Double Exposure brings drummer, pianist and composer Joe Chambers together with organist Larry Young for an exploratory session first released by Muse in 1978. Chambers moves between percussion and piano, while Young's Hammond organ and synthesizer open up a different space from a conventional jazz ensemble. Their exchange connects modal ideas with more abstract textures, leaving room for both rhythm and atmosphere. The Time Traveler reissue was remastered and cut directly from the original analogue tapes by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab, with an insert featuring new liner notes by Bill Milkowski and Barney Fields.
