About this release
Johan Blende makes his Hell Yeah debut with four tracks that move between disco, acid and house. Off To Mallorca opens with bass, vocals and loose percussion before Television turns towards sharper acid lines and lower-slung drums. Como No Brasil brings wordless vocals and bright melodies into the sequence, with additional percussion and Rhodes from Ben Fitzgerald. Carousel Bagatelle closes with swirling synth parts and dubbed-out house rhythms. Written and produced by Blende, the EP draws on his interest in 1970s and 1980s sounds without settling into a single period style. Mike Grinser handles the mastering and vinyl cut.
