About this release
Jon Dasilva and Skyskrapa team up with vocalist Donald Waugh for Sun Brings Joy, working the same vocal through four different club settings. The original and Triangulation Dub occupy the first side, followed by the bass-led Bass ID and Spatial Awareness’s remix. Across the package, acid lines, Chicago-style rhythms and a more spacious, percussive approach move between house, techno and bass music. The different mixes give the vocal several rhythmic contexts, from the direct original to the more abstract treatments on the reverse.
