June - Window Of Time

Recorded between 2018 and 2020, Window Of Time finds Tsampikos Fronas, working as June, moving towards sparser arrangements than his earlier dancefloor records. Modular synthesisers, analogue sequencers and polyphonic instruments create a world of repeating patterns, choral textures and restrained melodic detail. The title track and ‘Stratagem / Predator’ build tension through repetition, while ‘Year 2092’ and ‘The Master Of Electricity’ draw out the album’s science-fiction atmosphere. Short interludes punctuate the nine-track sequence before ‘Elegy’ closes it. Released by Artificial Dance, the LP gives June’s electronic vocabulary room to work outside a conventional club structure.
