Kanye West - Late Registration

Kanye West's second album expands the scale of his production with Jon Brion as a key collaborator. Released in 2005 through Roc-A-Fella and Def Jam, Late Registration pairs Heard 'Em Say, Touch the Sky and Gold Digger with the more reflective Roses and Hey Mama. Samples remain central: Addiction draws on Etta James, while Diamonds from Sierra Leone reworks Shirley Bassey's Diamonds Are Forever. The double vinyl edition includes the album's skits alongside both versions of Diamonds from Sierra Leone and the closing Late, preserving the full sequence rather than just its best-known singles.
