Kassa Overall - ANIMALS

Kassa Overall’s Warp debut brings his work as a drummer, producer, singer and emcee into a twelve-track album that moves between jazz experimentation and hip-hop production. ANIMALS considers race, mental health and the pressures of artistic life, with a broad group of collaborators contributing different voices and instrumental approaches. Danny Brown and Wiki join Clock Ticking, Nick Hakim and Theo Croker appear on Make My Way Back Home, and Laura Mvula features on So Happy. Vijay Iyer, Lil B and Shabazz Palaces also contribute to the programme. This clear-vinyl edition presents the complete album, including its brief interludes.
