About this release
Brisbane’s Kerbside Collection return with Cue Blue, their fifth studio album. Guitar, bass, drums and brass form the core of a stripped-back quartet sound, drawing on New Orleans funk, soul and boogaloo while keeping the group’s gritty jazz-funk character.
Shivers opens with fluid guitar, rubbery bass and tight drum breaks. Across eight tracks, the album takes in City Park Avenue, Sittin’ On The Porch and a version of People Under The Stairs’ San Francisco Knights, before the soulful Shimmer and the title track close the set.
