About this release
Con Todo El Mundo is Khruangbin’s second album, extending the Texan trio’s groove-led sound through influences from Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Laura Lee’s bass, Mark Speer’s guitar and Donald ‘DJ’ Johnson’s drums create a spacious framework for melodies that move between reflective passages and more animated rhythms. Maria También brings a sharper pulse, while Evan Finds The Third Room leans into disco-funk and Friday Morning closes the record with a gentler feel. Dedicated in part to Lee’s Mexican-American grandfather, the album takes its title from their shared expression of affection. This edition is pressed on 180g black vinyl.
