About this release
Texas Sun brings Leon Bridges’ voice together with Khruangbin’s guitar, bass and drums across four songs. The collaboration draws on the musicians’ shared Texas background, with the opening title track placing Bridges over a slowly rolling rhythm and flamenco-influenced guitar. Its lyrics reflect the pull of home, while the EP’s wider sequence moves through memories, romance and late-night reflection. Midnight and C-Side follow before Conversion closes the programme. Released by Dead Oceans in 2020, the record gives the singer and trio a shared setting that keeps the instrumental playing and vocal storytelling closely connected.
