About this release
Khruangbin’s third studio album brings the Texas trio’s bass-heavy rhythms and psychedelic guitar sound into a ten-track sequence. Laura Lee’s bass, Mark Speer’s guitar and Donald Johnson’s drums remain the core of the group, whose listening draws on international funk and soul traditions. First Class opens Mordechai before Time (You & I), Connaissais De Face and Pelota explore other parts of the programme. Shorter instrumental passages share space with vocal songs, keeping the arrangements connected through rhythm and tone. Released by Dead Oceans in 2020, this LP presents the complete album in a gatefold sleeve.
