About this release
Lau Nau, Linda Fredriksson and Matti Bye come together as Kiri Ra! on nen, an album developed through a patient process of improvisation and discovery. Their long-standing friendship informs music that leaves room for small gestures, quiet textures and unexpected directions. Rather than beginning sessions with a fixed plan or discussing where a piece should go, the trio let the sound emerge from playing together. The album draws on each musician’s previous work while creating a shared space between electronic, synthetic and organic elements. Assembled over ten years, its open-ended pieces reflect an unhurried approach in which detail and atmosphere guide the movement.
