About this release
Krewcial revisits Michael Jackson’s catalogue across three reworks assembled from the original multitracks. ‘On The Felaor’ draws out the Afrobeat elements in ‘Get On The Floor’, turning its interlocking rhythms into an extended dancefloor arrangement. ‘Baby’ moves into the midtempo territory of Jackson’s Thriller era, keeping the vocal at the centre of a reworked groove. The flip returns to ‘Get On The Floor’ with ‘On The Floor’, a nine-minute version that stays close to the album recording’s character. Together, the three cuts explore different rhythmic possibilities within familiar material, from percussion-led movement to a more expansive disco approach.
