About this release
Dreams In Aspamia brings Kutiman’s cinematic funk into a six-track EP shaped by jazz, trip-hop and psychedelic textures. Jazzy guitar, double bass and analogue keyboards sit alongside manipulated vocals, giving the arrangements an expansive yet unhurried feel. Kedem and Fog Ahead lead into Pastoral Meloncholia, with the title track, Dimdum and So Long Stay Safe completing the sequence. Mixed by longtime collaborator Obas Nenor, the EP balances its detailed instrumental layers with a relaxed sense of movement. This coloured vinyl edition comes in a full-colour sleeve designed by Berlin-based artist Philipp Carbotta.
