About this release
Leslie Lello and Paul Older bring disco and house together on African Layers, a collaboration between Disco Mind and Polyamore Artists. The title track opens with rich percussion and an organic groove, before Acid Bass shifts towards synthesizers and a sharper electronic edge without losing its disco roots. There’s Light keeps a steady chugging rhythm moving through accented hits and drum rolls. Winners closes with a more spacious, Balearic feel, making room for its chords to spread out. The sequence connects the percussive drive of the opener with progressively looser melodic passages, giving the record several distinct dancefloor moods.
