About this release
Stoned Part II takes Lewis Taylor’s layered soul writing towards dance-pop, house and electronic funk. Originally released on Slow Reality in 2004, the album includes alternate approaches to songs from Stoned Part I alongside other material developed during those sessions. Madman, Keep Right On and Reconsider establish its more upbeat rhythm, while Carried Away moves through changing drum patterns beneath Taylor’s harmonies. The sequence closes with Won’t Fade Away and Keep On Keeping On. Be With’s first vinyl edition retains the twelve-track programme across two records, with Simon Francis’s mastering approved by Taylor and lacquers cut by Cicely Balston.
