About this release
Jaime Read’s LHAS project takes its name from the Larry Heard Appreciation Society, setting out the influence behind this early UK house release. The Hevalo pairs its title track with What, Why, When, LHAS Pt. 1 and The Way, bringing four productions together on a single twelve-inch. The music connects a British perspective with the deep-house language of Chicago and Detroit, using melodic detail and a patient sense of groove. This repress returns Read’s four-track debut, originally issued in 1996, to the Push To Shove catalogue.
