About this release
Lola’s Dice reshape Venezuelan rhythms through funk, disco and electronics on their debut album Pura Maldad. Produced by Alex Figueira at Heat Too Hot in Amsterdam, the record develops the group’s move from funk-rock towards a more explicitly Caribbean sound. Tamborera and gaita meet merengue, salsa and other rhythmic influences, with guitars, synthesizers and percussion carrying the changes. La Gallera Social Club contributes to Yelito and Guisando Pasos, while Ibelisse Guardia F. joins the closing Nos Vemos En La Pista. Music With Soul presents the eight-track album on vinyl with an insert and download code.
