About this release
Matt Lord and dego return to 2000black with Lord & dego 2, a twelve-track double album that includes a guest appearance from Domu on 'Massive Underdogs'. Produced by the duo, the record sits within the label’s continuing conversation between broken beat, boogie, jazz and soul. Its accompanying statement presents music as a source of refuge and resistance during unsettled times, a theme reflected in titles such as 'Faith Must Have Reason' and 'The Fire This Time'. From 'Metonymy And Synecdoche' to 'Dirty Sea', the set gives that outlook the space of four vinyl sides.
