About this release
Innis Chonnel and Loris S. Sarid build a fictional journey around Moshi, a character travelling through mountains and imagined landscapes. Following their tape Where The Round Things Live, the duo combine digital synthesizers with electro-acoustic techniques, customised autoharp and recordings of the natural world. Percussion sampled in a woodworking shop sits beside drifting ambient passages, downtempo electronic textures and fragments of processed voice. References to cinematic synth scores and nineties techno and trance give the music a shifting sense of scale. Across the album, handmade sounds and computer processing work together to bring Moshi’s surroundings into focus.
