About this release
Loveface and Lil Chicago share this four-track 12-inch for Loveface Music, moving between disco edits and house. Loveface’s A-side starts with Re-Ward, a dancefloor treatment of an ’80s post-punk recording, before I Can’t Imagine reworks a ’90s alternative dance and rock track. The pair connects post-punk and alternative music with the label’s club-rooted approach.
Lil Chicago takes the reverse with A Lil Louder and Feels Good. The first centres a house groove around a spoken vocal, while the closer draws on the uplift of ’90s Italo house and garage. The four edits are paired on twelve-inch vinyl.
