About this release
Mattie Safer’s lovetempo project brings ‘But I Do’ to vinyl with an extended original and three guest remixes. The 12-inch mix leads the record, followed by Crackazat’s deep, jazzy treatment, which reshapes the song’s organic instrumentation around Safer’s vocal. Daisybelle raises the tempo and introduces pulsing synthesiser lines, while Brazilian duo From House To Disco take the closing version towards a dubbier club arrangement. Released on Razor-N-Tape Reserve, the four-track selection moves between modern soul, house and disco textures, presenting several rhythmic perspectives on the same song while keeping its vocal identity at the centre.
