About this release
Macy Gray's 1999 debut On How Life Is brings her unmistakable voice to a set of soul and R&B songs led by I Try. The album introduced a singer whose delivery could move from conversational intimacy to a rough-edged cry, with Do Something, Still and Why Didn't You Call Me showing the range of her songwriting.
This Music On Vinyl edition presents the original ten-track album on 180g translucent yellow vinyl. Limited to 3,000 individually numbered copies and supplied with an insert, it returns to the record that earned Gray a Grammy for I Try.
