Magic Words - Wabi Soba EP

Magic Words, the New York production partnership of Eli Cohen and Peter Hargarten, introduce ‘Wabi Soba’ through Razor-N-Tape Reserve. The title track builds around a reflective loop, Spanish guitar and wistful harmonies, placing its Balearic atmosphere at the centre of the record. ‘Wabi Dub’ follows on the A-side. On the reverse, Toronto’s Jex Opolis gives ‘Wabi Soba’ a more insistent club rhythm while preserving the original’s textures, before ‘Kissy Kiss’ completes the programme. This four-track EP is pressed on bone-coloured vinyl, bringing the original, dub, remix and closing piece together on one 12-inch.
