About this release
Makèz brings house, jazz, R&B and broken beat into a collaborative album that moves between intimate listening and club energy. Arriving Home Elsewhere gives live instrumentation and improvisation as much space as electronic rhythm, with contributions from Liv East, douniah, 30/70, dreamcastmoe, Oliver Night and other guests. Dreams and Fruits Of The Universe favour textured arrangements, while Rearrange Yourself, Be Real and Looks Like It (Space Talk) bring a more direct dance-floor drive. Across these different settings, the Amsterdam duo explores a sense of belonging created through shared voices and musical exchange.
