About this release
Malik Kassim, also known as Retromigration, returns to WOLF Music with the first Choices EP. Following Ausfahrt 9 and his remix for Manuel Darquart, the Amsterdam-based producer brings four tracks that keep deep house at the centre while drawing on garage rhythms and acid touches. Choices pairs synth strings with a warm groove, and Hot Sauce moves towards a more garage-influenced arrangement. On the reverse, Flu brings a bass-led, jazzy feel before Gumo closes with rolling drums, samples and chords. The EP balances those different textures across two tracks per side, keeping the arrangements focused on rhythm and musical detail.
