About this release
Mark Seven brings house, freestyle and electro together on House Breakin', continuing the rhythmic approach associated with his Parkway label. Tru Love leads with keyboard melodies and vocal hooks over crisp drum programming, drawing on the shared language of early house and freestyle. Dum Dum and Egyptian Groove take those influences onto the reverse, with bass, machine rhythms and cut-up vocal elements keeping the focus on movement. The EP connects its three tracks through the same direct, hardware-minded sound, balancing melodic warmth with the snap of the programmed drums.
