About this release
Mathias Kaden's Circulate EP combines three original productions with a remix from William Kiss. Freedom opens with stripped-back machine drums, melodic stabs and a gospel vocal, before Circulate settles into a lower-slung groove with crunchy synthesizer accents. On the B-side, Kiss reshapes Freedom with extra percussion and a more forceful rhythmic approach. Twisting Shadows completes the set, working an acid bassline and dubbed vocals into its arrangement. The EP follows Kaden's Blackbird release on Rekids and continues his work for Radio Slave's label, balancing vocal character with detailed drum programming across the four tracks.
