maya ongaku - Nothing Space Music

maya ongaku’s Nothing Space Music grew from a wish to reconnect with quiet after years of touring. The trio, formed in the seaside towns around Enoshima, built a dedicated studio near a local shrine and let the record develop through the intuitive process they call shizen hassei: spontaneous occurrence.

Across eight tracks, including ‘Vanishing Waves’, ‘Astral Echoes Digital’ and ‘You Are Silence’, the album follows that interest in stillness and attentive listening. Released on Guruguru Brain, it sits around the meeting point of folk, psychedelia and more open-ended experimentation. The setting matters as much as the idea: a record made by returning home and creating space for a different pace.
