Medlar / Father Sheed / Kenny Blacksmith / Dim City - A M.A.D 5 YEARS Pt.3

The third part of M.A.D Records’ fifth-anniversary compilation brings together Medlar, Father Sheed, Kenny Blacksmith and Dim City. Medlar opens with ‘Hardly Workin’’, combining a direct house rhythm with a weighty UK bassline, before Texan producer Father Sheed adds the jacking ‘Pancumbia’. On the reverse, Kenny Blacksmith’s ‘Church’ moves into deeper territory with warm bass and layered pads. Dim City closes with ‘Pure Emotion’, lifting the energy towards an end-of-night rave feel. The selection reflects Make A Dance’s approach to the label: a range of electronic influences held together by a clear focus on dancers and the dancefloor.
