About this release
Melody Beecher's 'Only One You' pairs an eighties reggae vocal with its instrumental counterpart on this Planets 7-inch. The recording features a rhythm section including Sly & Robbie, placing Beecher's voice over a roots rub-a-dub backing. On the flip, the instrumental version turns the attention to that backing, offering a second view of the arrangement. Reissued with the involvement of Paul Beecher, PLA08 presents the vocal on side A and the instrumental on side B.
