About this release
Special Herbs Volumes 5 & 6 continues MF DOOM's instrumental series under the Metal Fingers name, gathering beats that range from standalone pieces to reworked productions from his wider catalogue. Pennyroyal, Lavender Buds and White Willow Bark open the sequence, which closes with Dragon's Blood, Myrtle Leaf and Patchouli Leaves. Soul, funk, R&B and sampled fragments from film and television feed into the series' layered production language, heard here without the lead rap performances. This Rhymesayers edition contains thirteen tracks on apple-red double vinyl, housed in a custom top-opening die-cut gatefold with printed sleeves and a rolling-paper-style insert.
Format: 2 x apple-red vinyl LP, die-cut gatefold
Label: Rhymesayers Entertainment
