About this release
MF DOOM's Metal Fingers series reaches Volumes 9 & 0 with thirteen instrumental pieces, opening on Vinca Rosea and Burdock Root before moving through Bergamot, Untitled (Meditation) and Passion Flower. The Special Herbs collection draws together beats made for DOOM and other artists alongside pieces heard here on their own terms, using sampled soul, funk, R&B and found sounds as building blocks. This edition presents the two-volume programme on evergreen double vinyl, with each volume occupying a separate record. Rhymesayers packages the set in a top-opening die-cut gatefold with printed record sleeves and a rolling-paper-style insert.
