About this release
Michi Sarmiento's two-track 7-inch brings together recordings from Colombia's Discos Fuentes catalogue. 'Mirame San Miguel', credited to Michi Sarmiento Y Sus Bravos, dates from 1972 and leads with a horn-driven arrangement. The reverse reaches back to 1970 for 'Cumbia Raja' by Michi Sarmiento Y Su Combo Bravo, placing cumbia alongside the Latin soul and salsa influences of the A-side. Released by Panorama in collaboration with Discos Fuentes, this is the third instalment in the Discos Panorama series. The pairing offers two sides of the Combo Bravo sound during Sarmiento's late-sixties and early-seventies run.
