About this release
Midnight Energy’s Front Line / Saving All My Love brings a New Jersey recording from 1984 back to twelve-inch vinyl. Originally issued on Wal-Brooks Records, the songs were written and produced by Tony McLachlan of the Fresh Band. Freestyle’s fully licensed reissue pairs Front Line on the A-side with both the long and edited versions of Saving All My Love on the flip. Electronic rhythms, funk bass and vocal-led arrangements place the record within the era’s boogie sound. The two versions on side B offer different lengths of the same song alongside the separate opening cut.
