About this release
Miles J Paralysis brings his interest in folklore, the occult and the landscapes of West Yorkshire to Don’t Forget The Ritual. His own vocals and sampled fragments move through dub house, industrial textures and slower breakbeats, linking club rhythms with an unsettled, dreamlike atmosphere. The opening track places his voice within a spectral groove, while the title piece draws on British folk traditions through samples and delay. “Come On Fleet” tightens the focus around percussion and a repeating vocal, before “The Delicate Fairytale” opens into a more surreal soundscape. The EP connects his experimental production approach with an interest in memory and imagined histories.
