About this release
Mitski’s eighth studio album builds on the live-band and orchestral approach of The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We. Nothing’s About To Happen To Me follows a reclusive woman whose home becomes a space of freedom, with Mitski writing every song and performing all vocals. Patrick Hyland produced and engineered the record, while Drew Erickson arranged and conducted the orchestra recorded at Sunset Sound and TTG Studios. Members of The Land touring band contribute to the live instrumentation, connecting intimate songwriting with ensemble arrangements. This standard black vinyl edition comes in a gatefold jacket with a printed board sleeve.
