About this release
Mobb Deep's second album, The Infamous, places Havoc and Prodigy's voices within a dark, tightly drawn picture of Queensbridge life. Released in 1995, its shadowy loops, clipped drums and direct writing helped shape the sound of East Coast hip hop. Survival Of The Fittest and Shook Ones Pt. II sit within a programme that moves between full songs and brief spoken preludes, building a sustained atmosphere across the record. Guest appearances include Nas, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Big Noyd and Q-Tip. This double-vinyl edition carries the sixteen-track album programme.
