About this release
Moby’s Play brings blues and gospel vocal samples into electronic arrangements, moving between beat-led tracks, piano melodies and quieter instrumentals. Originally released in 1999 on Mute, the album opens with Honey and Find My Baby before Porcelain and Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? establish its more reflective side. Bodyrock and Natural Blues return to a stronger rhythmic focus, while the later sequence makes room for Everloving, The Sky Is Broken and My Weakness. The eighteen-track programme balances familiar singles with the shorter passages that connect them. This edition presents the full album across two 180g vinyl LPs.
