About this release
Monsieur Van Pratt turns to French funk and rock for the eighth Illegal Disco release, reshaping three songs around a contemporary disco pulse. Danse Danse opens with bright melodic flourishes and a prominent vocal, while Pas Chez Toi builds a deeper groove around a driving bassline and clipped percussion. Ombre De Plaisir closes with horns and a more insistent rhythmic push. Across the record, the edits retain the character of their source material while adjusting the arrangements for longer dancefloor passages. The result moves between buoyant disco melody and firmer funk rhythms without losing the songs’ vocal presence.
