About this release
Monsieur Van Pratt shares Illegal Disco Limited 004 with Rob Castillo, each taking one side of the record. What You Got opens with a tightly arranged groove and melodic lift, followed by the more driving Disco Woman and its soulful vocal character. Castillo shifts towards a looser, percussion-led feel on Zig Zag Eoh before Good Time Woman closes with a rolling funk rhythm. The four edits connect disco songcraft with more direct club arrangements, balancing hooks and instrumental detail against reinforced drums. This edition is pressed on fluorescent pink vinyl, continuing the label's numbered Illegal Disco Limited series.
