About this release
Moodymann selects twelve recordings from across his catalogue for Moments With Moodymann, a double-vinyl compilation on Peacefrog. Spanning the late 1990s through the 2020s, the collection brings together the jazz harmony, soul fragments, R&B feeling and deep club rhythms of Kenny Dixon Jr.’s Detroit sound.
The selection includes ‘Lyk U Used 2’, ‘Black Mahogani’, ‘Let Me Show You Love’, ‘Shades Of Jae’ and ‘Dem Young Sconies’. Chosen by Moodymann himself, the twelve tracks offer a route through some of his most sought-after recordings, presented across four sides of black vinyl.
