About this release
Mytron and Zongamin’s Congregate combines vintage synthesizers, field recordings and hand percussion across eight collaborative tracks. Jacek Janiszewski and Susumu Mukai bring disco and dub into a playful electronic setting, using 8-bit sampling, spring reverb and digital delays to shape the sound. Synthetic animal calls and layered percussion sit alongside the synth jams, connecting organic textures with more artificial tones. From “08932168” and “Arboretum” through the two “Alchemy” pieces to the title track, the album follows the pair’s shared interest in unusual rhythms and studio processing. This Multi Culti LP is pressed on 140g black vinyl with a printed sleeve.
