About this release
Nala Sinephro's debut Space 1.8 brings harp and modular synthesis into conversation with saxophone, piano, guitar, bass and drums. Its eight pieces move between solo electronic work and ensemble performances, with contributors including Nubya Garcia, James Mollison, Shirley Tetteh and Lyle Barton. Sinephro produced the record and performs throughout, shaping the connection between acoustic instruments and electronic textures. The closing Space 8 extends beyond seventeen minutes, with harp, modular synthesis and Ahnansé's saxophone. Released by Warp, this single-LP edition presents the original eight-track sequence, with a printed inner sleeve and printed outer sleeve.
