About this release
Nicolás Jaar's Pomegranates began as an alternative soundtrack to Sergei Parajanov's 1969 film The Color Of Pomegranates. First shared in 2015, the album develops its ideas across twenty pieces, combining intimate melodic passages with darker, more abstract electronic settings. Its pacing follows the expansive character of the film while leaving room for Jaar's own musical language and personal reflections. Garden Of Eden opens the sequence, which moves through Construction, Folie à Deux and Three Windows before reaching Spirit and Muse. This Other People double-vinyl reissue marks ten years since the album's first appearance and restores the complete programme to LP.
