About this release
Nino Nardini and Roger Roger’s Jungle Obsession turns the world of The Jungle Book into a library-music fantasia. Originally released in 1971, it brings together exotica, melodic pop and psychedelic touches, with animal sounds, percussion and choral textures helping to build its imaginary landscape. Farfalla’s 50th-anniversary edition adds Safari Park and Tropical to the original twelve-track album, with remastering by Frank Merritt at The Carvery. This transparent green repress comes on 180g vinyl with a printed inner sleeve featuring Fräneck’s artwork and a review by Björn Werkmann, restoring the album’s playful combination of atmosphere and detailed arrangement.
